There are about 70 total in my neighborhood but I have only had about 2
dozen (sometimes even 3 dozen) at a time coming to my finch sock filled with
Nyjer seed. They eat more than I do. I have to refill the sock once a day.

We had about 40 goldfinches at our feeders today. We usually run about 30
in addition to tree sparrows, white-throated sparrows, juncos and the other
usual yard birds.
