Hi all,

The celebrity Black-legged Kittiwake was easily found this afternoon,
between 1 and 2 pm, as it loafed along the shoreline of Hoover Reservoir
with the commoners (Ring-billed Gulls). It ranged from the first parking lot
north of the dam on the reservoir's west side, nearly to the first bridge.
Shouldn't be tough to find if you are one of the few that hasn't been there
yet and wants to see a kittiwake in Ohio.

There were also a handful of Herring Gulls, and a number of Bonaparte's
Gulls. Ducks galore, too, with tons of Mallards dominating. There were also
American Black Duck, Gadwall, Green-winged Teal, Canada Goose, Canvasback,
Redhead, Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser, and
Ruddy Duck.

Most of the waterfowl were along the far shore, and today was exceptionally
misty, wet and foggy. There's probably other good stuff, and I look forward
to returning on a less inclement weather day.
