There is still a large crow roost in Springfield, Ohio. This year they
seem to be roosting along Buck Creek near the center of town. This is a
couple blocks from where they have roosted in earlier years. I'm sure
the roost is more than 20,000 birds right now.

Strangely with all of the crows that winter here, they have seemed
scarce in the summer. In a couple Breeding Bird Atlas blocks a few miles
from Springfield no crows were seen during work on those blocks.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Huge crow roosts?

Hey, Birders,

Since I've seen a few posts regarding large flocks of crows recently, I
thought I'd ask:

Has anybody seen any HUGE roosting areas this winter like were seen last
winter?  I remember a couple mentioned in the central Ohio area-  I
meant to get down and see the spectacle but never made it.  I was
especially interested in the one near Zanesville where you could sit and
eat your dinner at Cracker Barrel while watching for them to come in! :
)

Thanks and good luck to all who mamage to get out this weekend!
