Today (Sunday) @ 1430 I observed a 1st year Black-legged Kittiwake among
one of the Bonaparte's Gull flocks (obvious neck collar). Although I was
not able to obtain any photos of this particular individual here's another
photo I took in CA that is very similar to the plumage observed:

There were at least 6 (1st year) Iceland Gulls within 30 yards, 1 (1st
year) Thayer's Gull and 1 (adult) Lesser Black-backed Gull.  Surprisingly,
only 1 (2nd year) Glaucous Gull within binoc view.
