Shane Egleston did some birding this afternoon in these two Counties. In
Preble County on Quaker Trace Rd about one mile south of Rte 122 he
found 150 Snow Buntings, 100 Lapland Longspurs and several hundred
Horned Larks.

In Montgomery County he found a Rough-legged Hawk on Boomershine Rd near
the entrance to Germantown Reserve MP and another on Soldiers
Home-Miamisburg Rd near the intersection of West Carrollton-Farmersville
Road.

At the feeders in Germantown Reserve MP were two Fox Sparrows, juncos,
tree sparrows, chickadees, Red-bellied Woodpeckers and White-breasted
Nuthatches.

At the West Carrollton gravel pits were six Mute Swans, one Snow Goose,
Two Greater-white Fronted Geese, three Cackling Geese, six pintails,
shovelers, coots, mallards, and Common Goldeneyes.
