I just got back from 72nd street and spotted a merlin posted up on a snag across from my driveway entrance. I have had several sightings(flight) in the last few weeks so maybe this bird is hanging around. I am on Johnson road just north of Kent, this spot is about 200 yards west of the RxR tracks. north side of the road across the frozen pond.If this turns out to be a regular perch and want  better directions or a heads up,email me privately.

72nd was ideal viewing with very even lighting for comparing plumages.

Herring
Ring billed
Iceland   8+  one adult showed late morning
Glaucous 5+ one adult also
Bonapartes-1
Less Black backed 2-1st yr 2 adult 1-3rd yr,
Great Black back
No definitive Thayer's seen by me.
Nice array of ducks also

Roads were pretty crappy in Cleveland, lake effect was heavy.
