The aforementioned White-winged Crossbills by Jen Brumfield are still present at the F.A. Seiberling Naturealm (01/20 @ 11:50am). I didn't have a lot of time to watch them on my lunch break today, but I did count 6 males and 2 females, though Woody Stover said there were as many as 20 present. They are still working over the cones on the Douglas firs along the walkway right across from the nature center front doors in the arboretum and offer very close viewing with excellent reflected light from the snow. Also present were 4 very vocal Pine Siskins and Woody also mentioned Hermit Thrush and Yellow-rumped Warbler seen today as well.

Douglas W. Vogus - Akron, Ohio.
