Shane Egleston went back to Spring Valley and saw two Virginia Rails at
the same time in the same spot we saw one yesterday. We thought there
may have been two because we saw one rail going left and did not see it
go back past us. A few minutes later we saw another one coming from our
right.

To get to the spot from the upper parking lot (closest to the boardwalk)
walk down the hill just as if you were going to the boardwalk. At the
very bottom of the hill take the main path to the right, instead of
taking the one to the boardwalk. Follow this to the first left (maybe
100 yards). This is where the spring enters the marsh. Turn left here
and go approximately 50 yards. The rails have been seen on the left side
of the trail here.

Good birding,
