My father and I were at the quarry yesterday afternoon and saw the duck in 
question.  There was no chesnut whatsoever on the duck.  It was completely 
black and white.  We called it a Muscovy Duck, but it may have been a 
MallardxDomestic hybrid.  The pattern described in the other post was 
consistant, but the colors were off.

Otherwise on the lake there were Buffleheads, Pintail, 5 snow geese, 50+ 
Black Duck, 75+ Mallards, and too many Canadas to count.
