Greetings birders -

Terry and Barb Sponseller report that "the White-winged Crossbills were seen at Seiberling NatureRealm today, Jan 21. We watched them from about 12:00 to 12:45 pm along with a large flock of Pine Siskins."

F.A. Seiberling NatureRealm is part of Summit County Metroparks. These crossbills continue to frequent the Colorado Blue Spruce, Douglas Firs, and spruces in the area immediately surrounding the parking lot and nature center. Again, easy access at this location. Little walking is needed. Photo opportunities can be splendid, as the blue spruces here are not as massive as those at Rose Hill. NOTE: The nature center is currently closed for renovations but the grounds are open.

NatureRealm is merely a few miles/minutes away from Rose Hill Burial Grounds (on Route 18, see previous post), if you want a "double-whammy", persay, of the White-winged Crossbill experience.
best of birding -
Jen
