5 White winged crossbills were just observed at the Oak hill cemetery in Upper Sandusky. The sex was not determined as they bolted quickly from the hemlock where they were feeding.

They were silent while they fed, detected by the "raining" of hemlock cones from the tree. They were vocal as they flew toward some spruce trees by the maintance building.

This is the first sighting here in over a month.
