After enjoying my first Glaucus Gull with the Kirtland Bird Club/Ohio Young Birders outing to E. 72nd, I thought that while thawing out I'd check out Lakeview Cemetery to look for White-Winged Crossbills. Easily located. I saw 9 of them, lovely looks at male and females, well enough that I could see their upper and lower madibles easily.
Lakeview Cemetery is off either Mayfield Road or Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. go to the Garfield Monument in the Ceterery; just West of the monument there is a small triangle of land that has mostly leaveless decidiuous trees on it but one evergreen heavily laden with pinecones.
