I just found out that the Richmond Dale area, near Higby Rd. and Old Rt. 35, had 10 Imm. Bald Eagles yesterday afternoon. 7 were flying on the same hill that is used for hang gliding, and 3 more were feeding on a dead deer, in nearby field...only 1 showed any trace of white on head. This is the area with an active nest 1/2 mile away. And another new one found last yr. near Omega. 10 eagles in Southern Ohio, amazing.. they seem to be doing very well. The Breeding Bird Atlas 2 will show a big change from B.B. Atlas 1.

I also checked the area that held the Longspurs, and Snow Buntings last Sat. As expected, they are gone now..only Horned Larks remain.

There are 9 Tundra Swans in near-by winter wheat field, next to the Rt. 23 quarry pond South of Chillicothe(Eastern Av.) 6 adults, and 3 Imm.
