Ten days and counting...

Your help is needed. Tell your friends.

The Rusty Blackbird Blitz begins February 7, ending February 15.

Go find those RUBL's! There have been two reports in central Ohio during the
past week even though we are experiencing an unusually severe winter.

All you need to know is found at the Blitz site url, including Blitz
protocol, great collection of Rusty Blackbird images, and detailed
information.

Go here:
http://tinyurl.com/cevo7w

Scroll to the bottom of the url above to find images, data forms, etc.

This is an effort to discover the most Rusty Blackbird localities, not a
contest to see who finds the most Rusty Blackbirds. Expand your search
beyond tried and true locations--report negetive results!

Please breifly summarize your results for each field trip on this listserv
to alert other Ohio birders about places visited and birds found.

Summary:
YOU enter your data using eBird.
IMPORTANT: Enter your data whether or not you find Rusty
Blackbirds--negetive data is very important!
The Rusty Blackbird Blitz is not a CBC and not a winter bird atlas, just
look for rusties and keep lists and data.
All you need to know is found at the Blitz link, above.
There are no territories assigned. It's OK if more than one team visits the
same location.
You are not required to submit the Blitz form, or even to use the form if
you don't need it (It's meant to make data collection easier and more
uniform).
Please use the "Traveling Count" method described at the Blitz URL and at
eBird.
eBird will post updated RUBL information February 4.

Reply privately if you have questions.
