The Rusty Blackbird coming to our feeder has been joined by a second one and
has now been here for about 4-5 days. If any of you Januarians find
yourself 1) stuck on 99 birds, 2) don't have a rusty blackbird, and 3) in
the vicinity of Perry County, feel free to stop by. We also have a reliable
Fox sparrow, and an often seen Brown Creeper, not to mention the Barred Owls
that call just about hourly.
By the way, the "in the woods birders" , myself, Linda, and Vicki all
reached the century mark (102, 103, 101 respectively). This is really the
first time we have seriously tried this, and seriously the last time we ever
will. We're serious about that.
