Wellington Upground reservoir is nearly completely frozen and had only Canada Geese (albeit about 2000 of them) and a few Mallards.

I found no owls at Caley Reservation.

Oberlin Upground Reservoir is completely ice-covered and birdless.

Lorain County Airport had a Kestrel, at least one Northern Harrier (plus another probable which wasn't clear through the heat shimmers), and a flock of Horned Larks.

Lorain Harbor had Ring-billed, Herring, and Great Black-backed Gulls and a couple of Coots.

Avon Lake Power had the same three gulls plus Mallards, Black Ducks, and a single Common Goldeneye.

I did see a flock of six Eastern Bluebirds on Miller Rd. near Rte. 611.

Cheers,
Craig Caldwell
