   In addition to the gull sightings at 72nd, there were at least three Short Eared posted up on the debris (3:30pm)if you were to park at the muni power (whale building) and walk off to the right to look out at the lake at the far side of the runways. I did not see any Snowy Owl(s). There was also a nice variety of waterfowl below on the bay. Greg C.

Horned Grebe 1
Am. Goldeneye 6

Also on Lake Pippen in Portage Cty. there was at least  one Cackling Goose in a flock of close to 800 Canadas.
