While on my lunch break today I had a lone drake Wood Duck and a lone American Black Duck amongst the 200+ Mallards and 300+ Canada Geese at the nursing home duck pond on Quick Rd. just past Woodridge High School. Both ducks were in the remaining open water on the mostly frozen pond.
