Dear Students,
Please review the following information about the upcoming summer session:
For first year students, the EDP 496/596 course will be offered as a
workshop and will be taught by Dr. Watson on May 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, and
29th (all day 8 am - 4 pm). Please make note of this. Details on
registering for the workshop will be forthcoming. All the other required
classes will be delivered as usual (EDP 652 and 658 Summer Session One
[SSI] and EDP 672 Summer Session Three [SSIII]).
For second year students, in order to cover the six required hours of
instruction EDP 657 (3 hours) will be offered as a course and will be
taught by Dr. Woodin duing SSIII. In addition, EDP 699 Pediatric
Psychology (3 hours) will be offered as a workshop on June 1, 3, 5, 8, 10,
and 12th (all day 8 am - 4 pm). Details on registering for the workshop
will be forthcoming. Also, an independent study with the Jump Start
Program in Talawanda will be available (2 hrs.) during the week of August
3-7th from 9 - 11:30 am at Kramer Elementary. This is a week long
instructional experience with high risk preschool age children. Questions
on taking the independent study should go through me as I will be the
instructor of record. A one hour workshop would have to be taken along
with the independent study to complete the three hour requirement. All the
listed workshops and independent study will count as approved
substitutions for the required instructional hours.
It may be hard to imagine summer at this time of the year but it will be
here sooner than you think. Start reviewing your plans and if you have
questions just email me or stop by.
