Saw a few decent birds Sunday in Akron, highlights are...

Towpath/Memorial Parkway, vicinity of parking lot, river:
flicker
belted kingfisher, male
redtail hawk
3 amer. black ducks
great blue heron
amer. kestrel, male

Chuckery Area, Signal Tree meadow and parking lot:
hairy woodpeckers, 1m, 1f
bluebird, male
white throated sparrows
downy woodpeckers, 1m, 1f
flickers, 2 females, feeding in staghorn sumac trees
gorgeous male eastern towhee
great horned owl hooted once - in area southwest of parking lot - possibly
same one I heard here 1/21?

But the BEST BIRD of the day...
soaring high over the hairpin turn in the cuyahoga river at Cascade Valley
overlook off Sackett:
adult bald eagle
