I had intended to just enjoy my lunch and the weather this afternoon but some good birds turned up as well at North Reservoir.  At least four American pipits flew over and a drake green-winged teal was in with the mix-and-match mallards at the west end of the State Mill Rd parking lot.  Long Lake is beginning to open up at both ends and the wintering ducks are emerging from the nearby canals.
