This afternoon Melvin Quarry had a lot of open water but most of the birds were either gone or feeding in some nearby fields. There were only about 35 Canadas, a pair of Common Goldeneyes along with 2 Killdeer.

We have still been enjoying our wintering Red-breasted Nuthatch which was last observed at the suet feeder on Sunday. With its coming and going we may have missed it for the past few days.

Great Weather Cheers, Larry Gara
