Today we went to the West Geauga Park in Geauga County and stood inside the nature center and what a flurry of activity we saw.  There were tree sparrows, white throated sparrows, white breasted nuthatches and a whole slew of other birds.  But what we hoped to see, finally appeared at the feeder and it was a female redpoll.  This was particularly exciting because it was a lifer for both of us.  We also saw at least 30 pine siskins.  In addition to seeing the white breasted nuthatches, we also saw a red breasted nuthatch.  It was also fun to see at the feeders at exactly the same time, lined up in a perfect row a downy woodpecker, a hairy woodpecker and a red bellied woodpecker.
