While walking my dogs around noon today on the road in front of my house (Price Rd. NE of Logan), I noticed a flock of 20-25 white winged crossbills feeding in and on the ground below a huge evergreen (hemlock ??) in my neighbors' yard. After weeks of searching for these birds after the numerous postings to no avail, here they were ! It never occured to me that they would be so close to home. Very remarkable birds !
