What a great surprise. Walking in Blacklick Metro Park (near Columbus) about 5:30pm I was surprised to find two Yellow-rumped Warblers and two Eastern Towhees. These are the first I have seen this year. They were in the underbrush of the woods at the far end of the park on the north side of the loop. ONe of the warblers appeared to be eating the emerging buds of a tree! The Towhees were scratching in the leaf litter as one would suspect.

Other usual species seen in the same area.
