Yesterday afternoon at the Reeder Road parking area of Walborn Reservoir in
Stark County my husband and I saw 2 ducks in the open water or what we thought
were ducks. We could not find them in our field guides. After talking to
someone else who showed up at the parking lot we found that there had been
some Snow Geese in Blue phase there. After coming home and checking more
resources it was determined that we did indeed see 2 Snow Geese in Blue phase.
Along with the "Blue Geese" we also saw

Several Hooded Mergansers
Canvasback
Canadian Geese
Buffleheads
Ring Billed Gulls
Mallards
several small black ducks that we could not identify (they were too far away
for our binoculars)

There are 4 Bald Eagles at Walborn Reservoir. 2 Adult and 2 immature. They
were not spotted yesterday, but we did spot one of the Adults last Sunday
during the GBBC.

Happy Birding
Carol
