While out driving around in the ugly weather, I thought I might check to see
what kind of activity is happening with the local eagle population out there:

Davis Besse nest: One eagle observed sitting on the nest

Eagle point nest: the small parking area is closed with a sign reading Eagle
breeding area - Do not enter. watched from the road one eagle fly to the
nest and sit at its edge for 10 minutes then fly off again.

Perkins Road: Both eagles observed on the nest. One momentarily rearranged a
few sticks and then flew off while the other sat low on the nest. The other
then hunkered down in the nest again and just peeped its head over the rim
every once and a while. Incubating perhaps?

Joppa Road: One eagle observed in a tree near the nest. Couldn't see if
there was any activity on the nest itself.

2 Additional eagles were seen flying together just west of Sheldon Marsh and
one over the chaussee, 2 additional in Vermilion near Sherod Park.
Hurry up spring!
Good birding,
Dan
