In the last 24 hours in the Hocking Hills, I saw a female WWCB in the parking lot at Rock House, and then about 25 on the path to Ash Cave, and then I met a lady who is not really a birder who said she saw "a hundred--and half of them were red" on the path from Cedar Falls to Old Man's Cave (all high up in the hemlocks). Plus it had snowed so the Hocking Hills were beautiful--if somewhat dangereous. Also saw turkey vultures at the lodge park...and two black vultures.

They seem to frequent corn stubble in the area and have a handful of Snow Buntings mixed in. Quite a sight to see 1,000+ longspurs in flight rattling and calling. All fields in this area contain Horned Larks, Buntings, and Longspurs in lesser numbers.
