Greater White-fronted Geese: Bob Lane reports that two are still at the
Village of Franklin Square in Columbiana County on the 21st. The
location is the large lake on the left side of Lisbon Rd just north of
Rte 558.

Snow Goose: Carol Yakupcak reported that two blue-phase geese were at
Walborn Reservoir on the 20th. Bob Lane reported that the blue phase is
still present in Franklin Square on the 21st. Jay Stenger reported that
one was at Hueston Woods SP on the 22nd. Paul Wharton reported that four
were at Fernald Nature Preserve on the 22nd. Albert Scruggs located one
in the Allen Rd (IKEA) retention pond on the 23rd. Gary Cowell reported
one was in a field near Garber's Gravel Pit in Richland County on the
25th. Charlie Bombaci reported that one was at Hoover Reservoir on the
25th.

Ross's Goose: Gabe Leidy reported that one was in a front yard pond
along West Rd just south of Caley National Wildlife Woods on the 21st.
Gary Cowell reported one was in a field near Garber's Gravel Pit in
Richland County on the 25th. Sean Williams reported that one was at
Delaware WA on the 26th.

Cackling Goose: Laura and Tim Dornan reported that there were three
possible cacklers at Salem Reservoir on the 22nd. Jay Stenger reported
that two were at Hueston Woods SP on the 22nd.

Green-winged Teal: Paul Wharton reported that 12 were at Fernald Nature
Preserve on the 22nd.

Horned Grebe: Doug Overacker reported that one was at Buck Creek SP on
the 22nd. Larry Gara reported one was at Caesar Creek SP off of
Harveysburg Rd on the 24th.

Merlin: Troy Shively found one in Logan County on the 24th. Lou Gardella
reported that three were at Calvary Cemetery on the 26th.

Sandhill Crane: James Lundberg observed seven flying over near Fernald
Nature Preserve on the 25th.

Thayer's Gull: Gabe Leidy reported that one was at E.72nd St/55th St on
the 20th. Gabe Leidy spotted one at Oberlin Reservoir on the 21st. Jay
Lehman reported that one first-cycle was at E. 72nd St on the 21st.

Iceland Gull: Gabe Leidy observed three at Oberlin Reservoir on the
21st. Jay Lehman reported that one was at E. 72nd St on the 21st.

Lesser Black-backed Gull: Gabe Leidy reported that four were at E.72nd
St/55th St on the 20th. Jay Lehman reported that four were at E. 72nd St
on the 21st. Gabe Leidy reported that eight were at Oberlin Reservoir on
the 21st. Craig Holt discovered one at Berlin Reservoir at the Rte 224
causeway on the 26th.

Glaucous Gull: Gabe Leidy reported that seven, one of which was a
third-cycle, were at E.72nd St/55th St on the 20th. Gabe Leidy reported
that six were at Oberlin Reservoir on the 21st. Jay Lehman reported that
one first-cycle was at E. 72nd St on the 21st and another at the marina
just east of Burke Airport on the 22nd.  Doug Overacker reported that at
least two first-cycle gulls were seen at an access point off of Grant Rd
at Buck Creek SP on the 22nd. Frank Frick refound the Buck Creek bird
off the marina on the 23rd. Greg Cudworth observed one first-cycle over
the river below the Lake Rockwell dam in Portage County on the 23rd.

Snowy Owl: Jay Lehman reported the owl was at Burke Airport on the 21st.


Northern Saw-whet Owl: Tim Tolford reported that he banded two at Clear
Creek MP on the 20th.

Eastern Phoebe: Debra Hausrath reported that one was calling outside the
main building at the Cincinnati Nature Center on the 26th.

Northern Shrike: Dan Gesualdo reported that two were along the causeway
at MaGee Marsh on the 22nd. The Bobolink RBA Hotline reported that one
was present on private property at 13179 TR 406. Ask for permission
before entering the property to look for the shrike.

Red-breasted Nuthatch: Larry Gara reported that one was still visiting
his Wilmington feeders on the 20th. Lisa Rainsong reported that two were
at Squire Valeevue Farm in eastern Cuyahoga County on the 23rd.

Ruby-crowned Kinglet: Bob Royse reported one is still present along the
Scioto River near the Rivers Edge office complex.

Hermit Thrush: Joshua Eastlake reported that one was at his Anderson Twp
feeders on the 22nd.

Pine Warbler: The Bobolink RBA Hotline reported that one was still
visiting a feeder on TR 85 near Baltic.

Chipping Sparrow: Bob Lane reported that one was still frequenting his
feeder in Damascus on the 22nd.

Savannah Sparrow: One was along West Rd just south of Oberlin Rd on the
22nd.

Lapland Longspur: Rick Counts observed well over 1,000 along CH44 north
of Upper Sandusky on the 22nd. CH 44 is east off Rte 53 about two miles
north of Rte 23. Some were found on West Rd just south of Oberlin
Reservoir and also south of Nickel Plate
Rd on the 22nd.

Snow Bunting: Craig Holt observed over 120 at the causeway of Mosquito
Lake on the 20th. Rick Counts observed a handful along CH 44 north of
Upper Sandusky on the 22nd. Sally Isacco found several small flocks
along Hayes Rd near Middlefield on the 23rd. One of the flocks had 30
birds.

Rusty Blackbird: Paul McSweeny reported that at least four were at
Calamus Swamp on the 20th. Bob Royse reported that over two dozen were
at McKinley Quarry on the 24th. The Bobolink RBA Hotline reported that
some were at Sugar Creek this week.

Baltimore Oriole: The Bobolink RBA Hotline reported that one continues
off of Nunda Rd in Knox County. To get there take SR 3 south and turn
right onto Nunda Rd following this to the County Line Food Store to ask
for specific directions on where to find the bird.

White-winged Crossbill: Eric Burkholder found 20 in section 30 of Spring
Grove Cemetery on the 20th. Matt Anderson reported that nine were at
Wakeman Cemetery on Waterville-Neapolis on the 22nd. Al Bahl reported
that some visited his Howland Twp, Trumbull County, yard on the 23rd.
Lisa Rainsong reported that four were at Squire Valeevue Farm in eastern
Cuyahoga County on the 23rd. Dale Brubeck reported that one at the Rock
House parking lot and 25 on the path to Ash Cave on the 24th, both areas
in Hocking Hills SP. Tim Haney reported that white-wings were still
present at Woodlawn Cemetery this week. Seven were at Kidron Park this
week.

Common Redpoll: Elizabeth Heineman reported that 24 were at her thistle
feeder on the west shore of South Bass Island on the 20th. Doug
Overacker reported that at least two were at a cemetery between
Moorefield Rd and Rte 334 to the south near Buck Creek SP on the 22nd.
The Sweet Gums at Woodlawn Cemetery are still a reliable spot to find
redpolls. Dave Horn found nine at Cooperrider-Kent Bog SNP on the 24th.

Pine Siskin: Eric Burkholder found one in section 30 of Spring Grove
Cemetery on the 20th. Nancy Anderson had one at her feeder in Richmond
Heights on the 21st. Doug Overacker reported that at least 30 were at a
cemetery between Moorefield Rd and Rte 334 to the south near Buck Creek
SP on the 22nd. Sally Isacco reported that 11 were at her feeder in
Chardon on the 23rd. Woodlawn Cemetery is still a reliable spot to find
siskins.
