2 Seperate locations produced White Winged Crossbills this afternoon in northern Wyandot Co. Both were at cemetery locations feeding in hemlocks.

Pleasant Ridge Cemetery- 6 crossbills were feeding at the bottom of a hemlock in very windy conditions. This group consisted of 1 male and 5 females. One female was feeding above me in the hemlock no more than 3 feet away. She was dropping cones on my head and off of my binocs! Certainly won't complain though. This cemetery is on SR103 just west of Sycamore, Ohio.

Oak Hill Cemetery- 13 inds. were feeding on hemlock cones on the ground by the Ayers monument. The group consisted of 1 male and 12 females. Superb views at very close range. This is the cemetery on the southern edge of Upper Sandusky.

It's unbelievable that for the past couple of weeks I've seen crossbills on every trip out! This is an irruption that I'll never forget.
