The Red-necked Grebe was at Summit Lake this afternoon between 2:30 and
3:30 pm. It stayed near the southern end of the lake. I watched it
from the pier accessible from the street that dead ends at the lake just
south of the apartment complexes south of the park entrance on the east
side of the lake. The bird briefly came close enough for digiscoping,
but I have not yet downloaded my photos. There were at least three
Horned Grebes on the lake.
