On Friday March 20th, we were driving by Hoover Mudflats Boardwalk and saw 
a large white bird out on the water. We pulled over and grabbed the 
binoculars and identified the bird as an American White Pelican. I don't 
know how often this is seen around here but it was a first for me. I 
stopped the next morning with my camera and caught a few good pics!
