There were some good birds at Clear Fork today (just south of Mansfield in western Richland County)

Two Red-throated Loons were there from at least mid-morning until mid-afternoon Saturday (I have distant photos). They seemed to stay together most of the time, within sight of the dam. A Red-necked Grebe was in the same area. There probably was a second Red-throated Grebe since I saw one at far west end of the lake. A White-winged Scoter stayed close to the shore at Picnic Area 4. I have very close photos - email me privately if you want a copy. At least 220 Double-crested Cormorants were on the lake and in the trees. Additional birds: 245 Red-breasted Mergansers, 9 Horned Grebes, 7 Bufflehead, 4 Gadwall, 10 Lesser Scaup, 1 probable Greater Scaup. The vast majority of 300+ gulls were Herring.
