At 7:30AM this morning I observed a PURPLE MARTIN circling, but
quickly migrating northeast over Sandusky St., Delaware, OH. The sun
had just risen, and the swallow was flying fairly low, or low enough
to make a confident identification.
Also on campus, our Chipping Sparrows are more numerous, with 4
singing this morning. Siskins are still present; a few more than on
Saturday, and singing beautifully.
Good birding,
Sean
