I spent the morning birding in Poland Twp. and Coitsville Twp. in Mahoning Co.  No rarities, but several local FOS birds for me.  Am. robins were exceptionally numerous and were everywhere, often in good-sized groups like you see at the end of Feb. or early March.  Also of note were: 5 buffleheads, 2 Cooper's hawks, 5 Am. kestrels (including a pair), 5 Wilson's snipes, great horned owl on nest, 5 n. flickers, 7 e. phoebes, Carolina wren, 15 e. bluebirds, brown thrasher, n. mockingbird, 7 e. towhees, field sparrow, 3 chipping sparrows, 62 song sparrows, 24 dark-eyed juncos, and e. meadowlark.  Later, Craig
