Today Summit Lake had several species of ducks. Also saw some tree sparrows
and a red tailed hawk.

The big deal (for me) was observing 4 species of grebes. All were viewed
from the west side of the lake, just south of the school.

Pied-billed Grebe 2
Horned Grebe - several, 4 for sure, most in winter plumage, yet one was
in full breeding plumage!
Eared Grebe 1 - non breeding - think it was a juvenile due to it's having
yellow(ish) eyes.
Red-necked Grebe 1
