While out birding at the Chagrin River Park in Willoughby on Saturday afternoon, we saw our first Eastern Phoebe of the season.  It was extremely close to us, perched on a tree flicking its tail.  We turned away when the Phoebe flew off, and spotted in a tree right next to it, a Yellow Rumped Warbler.  I'm not sure how common they are in northeastern Ohio, this is the first one we've seen since October.  Right after seeing them, a little post script here, a Pileated Woodpecker was just above eye level banging on a tree for nearly an hour.  People walked by, dogs were barking and it seemed completely unaffected by anyone's presence.  I've never been that close to a Pileated, so it was a real treat for me.  Great, great day of birding!!  Spring is definitely in the air based on what our feathered friends are up to!
