Took about an hour today (Sunday) to walk along the beautiful riverwalk along the Scioto at Kiwanis Park. Saw a lot of the usual birds: Cardinals, Robins, Song Sparrows, Red-Winged Blackbirds, Downy Woodpeckers, Canada Geese, Mallards. Some highlights were a really active Carolina Wren, a very cooperative Brown Creeper that flew right into the tree next to me and proceeded to climb for the sky, and about 15-20 Cedar Waxwings eating red blossoms from trees on the island right directly from the beginning of the path at the bottom.

Also saw some skunk cabbage for the first time, compliments of a couple of plant enthusiasts.

Beautiful day and beautiful birds!!!
