I wish I had been at Metzger when Kenn Kaufman saw the Eurasian Wigeon! Oh,
well, it was still a grand day at the marshes. At Ottawa I saw all three
swans from the old road but my picture quality was mixed. At Metzger I
found Trumpeters and Mute Swans plus a nice first-year eagle.

If I have mis-identified the Trumpeters someone please correct me.
Finally, a quiet walk along the boardwalk at Magee (5pm) turned up this
nice, sparkling-clean song sparrow that just screamed to have its picture
taken! Also while on the boardwalk (west end) I saw what looked like three
thrushes, one heavily spotted on the breast like a wood thrush. I realize
this is way early for them but I point it out so anyone walking along there
might also look for them. I only saw them for a minute before some little
children came through walking their parents - the birds left!
