Saturday there was a lone Red-necked Grebe on Indigo Lake in CVNP. It was in the company of 4 Ring-necked Ducks. The bird was still present on Sunday as of 3:30pm, Ring-necked's were gone and now was in the company of 4 male Bufflehead. The bird was still in complete winter plumage and diving frequently.
Also had a lone female White-winged Crossbill in the spruce trees at the entrance to Howe Meadow just south of Indigo Lake. The bird was last seen heading northwest towards Hale Farm & Village.

Douglas W. Vogus - Akron, Ohio.
