Hi all: Did some scouting tonight for the Shreve Migration Sensation
scheduled for tomorrow. Water levels and waterfowl numbers are down from
last weekend, but a good variety are still present. I saw all the expected
species of ducks at Killbuck Marsh and/or Funk Bottoms. And Judy Kolo-Rose
saw 2 white morph Snow Geese at Funk. Hopefully with all the eyes in the
area tomorrow, something rare will turn up.

I was only out a few hours and the only unusual bird I saw was a very light
Blue-winged Teal along Cemetery Road at Killbuck Marsh. At first I thought
it might be a hybrid but after studying it for awhile decided it was just
very light-at least a few shades lighter than normal. If anyone else sees
this bird, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts. Wacky waterfowl
always interests me.

Also Shreve Fish Pond has been drained. 19 Pectoral Sandpipers were there
late this afternoon. Su Snyder, Wooster
