Made an incredibly quick stop by Summit Lake in Akron after church today
(expecting company).
Horned Grebe -- minimum of 11, two of which are sporting breeding plumage
Pied Billed Grebe -- 1

Did not see any red necked grebes, however this was an incredibly fast (for
me) drive by. Total time spent less than 30 minutes.
That said, there was one red-necked grebe there yesterday 3-28.

My mind really wanted one of them to be eared, however his (her) neck was
definitely more reddish than absolute black..... Plus other tell tale signs.
Oh well........

Also noted:

herring gulls
ring billed gulls
canada geese
red tailed hawk
greater scaups
lesser scaups
american coots
american robins
song sparrow
house sparrows
starlings
