Saturday brought about ten tree swallows back to our hillside minifarm in western Holmes County 
(each year about seven or eight of our nest boxes get used by them, which is nice), though Sunday's 
rain, snow, sleet and hail caused them to take a powder for the day, plus a field sparrow singing, and 
a male and female purple finch (first ones all year) at the feeder. 

A late note: An osprey was working Shreve Lake last Wednesday (3-25) morning.
