I went over to big Isle yesterday and the ducks are there, they are just being secretive. I was at the old ponds hiding in a blind hoping to get some pictures but I need to work on my blind. The Herons, Eagles, and Gulls didn't seem to mind, but the ducks and geese were wary.

I did see about 60 Green Winged Teal.
I am starting to see more Blue Winged Teal in the old ponds as spring begins to warm the waters. I saw 30 over at the spring pond over on 95 that held the stilts last year.
Ring Necks were also plentiful; about 30-40 between the three ponds that I stopped at.
I'm seeing a flock of around 20 Shovelers there every time I stop by...maybe they will stay.
When I arrived at the old ponds, I did happen to catch a flock of Widgeon...before they flew off. There were about a dozen.
Four Coots and two Pied Billed Grebe finish the waterfowl.

Other highlights were :
Herons everywhere, Including one that almost used my blind as a landing site. I could hear it start to land so I wiggled the blind...it flew out a ways.
Three Eagles one of which was immature, It's funny that they go almost all white before getting their adult plumage...
A pair of Harriers entertaining the Eagles.
A dozen Gulls flying about.
Tree swallows were everywhere, easily 30 down by the old ponds.
Blackbirds were perched on every stick and telephone pole.
Song sparrows fluttered here and there calling out.

That's about it.

Happy Birding and God bless.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

(Matthew 10.29-31)
