Howdy,
I wanted to get this out earlier, but the internet had other ideas. At any rate, I spent some time at Caesar Creek and SVWA, this morning. The highlights at each were:
Caesar Creek:
1 Eared Grebe – by the boat ramp between the Youth Pond and the Beach. Beautiful looks yesterday morning and this morning.
1 Prairie Warbler – singing over by the road on the way into the main park, across from the center.
2 Bonaparte’s Gulls
Spring Valley WA:
4 Great Egrets
2 Prothonotary Warblers
2 Pileateds foraging along the ground – very cool to watch, and never flushed more than 50 yards ahead and let me within ~10yds.
That’s it, really, other than the assortment of usual suspects. I should have photos of the Grebe up, tomorrow morning, I hope.
Peace,
Phil
