Hello Ohio Birders,
Today I birded two locales in Hocking County, both private property (1) near the intersection of Middlefork and Buena Vista Rds. and (2) 2 1/2 miles west of Ash Cave. In addition to the usual resident birds I had several Phoebes, Louisiana Waterthrushes and Brown Thrashers and at location (2) a singing Hermit Thrush, a Winter Wren, and I flushed a Woodcock and a Ruffed Grouse.
At Calamus Swamp there were four Rusty Blackbirds and other birds, all of which Adam Cirone reported earlier. (He beat me there by several hours.)
Happy birding,
Dave Horn
