On a normal day in our backyard in Damascus, my wife Denise, usually has about 29 species. Today, even with the rainy weather she recorded 38 species!It is interesting to have the end of the winter birds and the start of the summer birds. Our one acre property has a spring fed creek crossing it with several small pools with native plants, along with mature Black Walnut, Butternut, Norway Spruce, and many other tree species including Bald Cypress. It is a minature botanical garden! Here is her list for the day:
