A spectacular day at Hoover Meadows and Hoover Area N (Sat. AM) for a novice
- these birds were all in full view, full sun, breeding plumage, close and
cooperative:

Yellow Warbler (2 males)
Wood Duck (male)
Baltimore Oriole (male)
Brown Thrasher (pair, always present lately))
Tree Swallows (many)
Blue Winged Teal (several, always been present lately)

I went to Area N and saw my first Prothonotary Warbler within 3 minutes,
singing loudly, sunlit, close by. Proceding on, an osprey hovered then
landed in a tree right above me, calling loudly the whole time.
