My wife and I spotted an Osprey at Turkey Creek Lake in Shawnee State Park
at about 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6. The bird was hunting from a perch
in a tree on the shore. About two hours later we spotted an Osprey about
five miles away at the Shawnee State Forest ranger station. This bird flew
over and was carrying a fish. We do not know if it was the same bird. Who
knows Osprey behavior well enough to venture a guess? The ranger station is
on State Route 52, southeast of Turkey Creek Lake and close to the Ohio
River.
