Area N of the preserve had the following birds as well as the usual

Double Crested Cormorant - numbers moderate near the boardwalk off Area M,
but many more further south near Pelican Island.

Green-winged Teal - good numbers in the flooded area to the east of the
trail.

Osprey - The resident pair are at platform 1. Put on an aerial show.

Woodpeckers - a few Red-headed and Pileated.

Phoebe - Low number of individuals in the wooded area.

Swallows - Tree, Barn and Northern Rough-winged. Cliff Swallows not back
yet.

Blue-gray Gnatcatchers - first seen at the preserve this year.

Prothonotary Warblers - not back yet, but they should begin to arrive in
the next 10 days.
